What started as a “maybe one day” idea back in October, 2023 has now become reality. Stephen and I will be moving to Iqaluit, NU on August 14, 2024.
I am hoping that this page will keep friends and family up to date on my adventure in the north, as well as serve as a marketplace for music booklets that I have created over the years.
So to begin, I will answer the question that I have been getting since we made our announcement.
Why Iqaluit?
The short answer is, “Why not?” The slightly longer answer is, our last child graduated high school this spring and we always knew that event would result in a change for us. With nothing keeping us “home” any longer, we decided to act on an idea that had been in the back of our minds for a very long time. Stephen taught school in the Arctic over 25 years ago and his stories have made me long to see a part of this country that is completely different from the gravel roads and wheat fields I grew up with. We decided this is the perfect time for that adventure.
